Hosting and proxy

The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH on servers in Germany. Cloudflare, Inc. is used as a proxy to deliver and protect the website. Both services process connection data, including IP addresses, requested URLs and technical browser information. Cloudflare operates a global network; processing is not limited to Germany.

Calculator inputs and results

The calculator runs in your browser. We do not create user accounts or store calculator inputs and results in cookies or browser storage. These values are not sent to our server, statistics or advertising services by the calculator.

Website delivery and older result links

Delivering the website requires connection data such as your IP address and the requested page. Older result links may contain calculator inputs in their address; opening such a link can transmit those parameters to the hosting infrastructure. The page removes these parameters from the visible address before optional services start. New calculations do not add inputs or results to the address.

Necessary functions

A cookie remembers your privacy choices for 180 days across this site’s language subdomains. Calculation inputs and results are not stored in this cookie.

You can use the calculator without optional statistics or advertising. Change or withdraw your choices at any time using the privacy settings in the footer. If advertising has been activated, additional provider settings are available there. Withdrawal reloads the page to stop previously loaded optional services.

Optional statistics

OpenPanel loads only with your permission. Only page views are measured; calculator inputs, results and URL parameters are excluded.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent optional statistics and advertising from starting. Google Analytics is not used. Statistics help us understand use of the website and improve it.

Optional advertising

Existing Google AdSense ads help fund this site. If enabled, the provider’s additional Cookiebot consent interface opens before any Google advertising script loads. Ads are requested without personalization. Test deployments show previews without contacting advertising providers.

Advertising helps keep the calculator free to use. When enabled with the required consent, Google and Cookiebot can process IP addresses, browser information, cookies and consent choices. Non-personalized advertising can still use cookies for purposes such as frequency limits, reporting and fraud prevention. We do not pass calculator inputs or results to these providers.

International processing

When advertising is enabled with consent, Google may also process data in the USA. Cloudflare may process connection data in the USA and other countries. The providers’ privacy policies describe their international processing and transfer mechanisms.

Retention

The cookie recording your privacy choices expires after 180 days. Calculator inputs and results are not stored by this website. Retention of infrastructure logs and optional statistics depends on the service and its configuration; the operator can provide details on request. Provider cookies and records have their own retention periods, described in the linked policies.

Your rights

You can contact the responsible operator to request access to your personal data, correction or deletion and, where applicable, data portability or restriction of processing. You may withdraw optional consent at any time in the privacy settings. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or another competent supervisory authority.
